Well Mother nature was kind to the 25th (SILVER) Anniversary of the Quad-Cities
Bi-State Motorcycle Awareness Ride.  Near perfect weather helped bring Riders
together to support Motorcycle Awareness and the Children's Therapy Center.

Starting at the West High School parking lot in Davenport Iowa 380 motorcycles
made up the Police escorted ride.  Winding its way through Davenport Iowa,
Rock Island, Moline and East Moline in Illinois the parade concluded at the Rock
Island County Fairgrounds.  Dignitaries from both Iowa and Illinois greeted the
crowd and supported the efforts to promote motorcycle awareness.

The first ever "Motorcycle Show" adopted this year by the Council, gave Riders a
chance to win some very nice trophies and also help raise monies for area non-
profit organizations.  I look forward to seeing this grow in coming years!

As always I want to thank all those responsible for putting this' Ride' together.
The Bi-State Motorcycle Awareness Council, made up of volunteers from area
motorcycle groups and individuals, has been doing this for 25 years.
Relying on the support of area businesses and Riders, this event has helped save the
lives of motorcyclists in and around the Quad-cities and raised funds for area non-
profit organizations..  If you're interested in helping in this event contact the Council
