27th Annual
 CYCLE WORLD
 INTERNATIONAL
 MOTORCYCLE SHOW.
 Rosemont, Illinois

Hundreds of 2008 model Street Bikes, Dirt Bikes, Cruisers and ATV's from more than 19 manufacturers, the most ever at the show.   Baggers, Bobbers and Sport Bikes are HOT right now and this show was the perfect venue to checkout the latest wave in Hot Bike trends.

If you could navigate through the maze of attendees you were able to see some fantastic things from the motorcycle world.   Past, Present and Future, it was all there.

The "Boss Stunt Show" thrilled the fans with daily high-flying, nail-biting motorcycle stunts in and out of the 'Ball of Steel".   The Teutul's of OCC fame were represented at the show with their new DieHard and Patriot Choppers.   Custom Bike Builder Matt Hotch brought eye-popping $3000,000 custom choppers and cool clothing.   Host of the popular TV show "SuperBikes" Jason Britton was there all three days too!   The Roland Sands Experience brought the RENSTAR, a custom Star motorcycle and matching Toyota Tundra truck.   Both designed by Roland.   Fans could take photos on the Bike and get an autograph by Roland Sands.

'History of Speed' - The Worlds Fastest Motorcycles was a collection of historical machines that have held speed titles.   A 1937 streamlined Harley-Davidson piloted by Joe Petrali was clocked at 136.183mph in the mile.   Leo Payne's "TurnipEater, a 1957 HD Sportster was the first motorcycle to exceed 200mph in 1969.   The S & S Cycles "Tramp III" was there as was the returning Denis Manning BUB#7 streamliner that set the current land speed record of 350.886mph with pilot Chris Carr at Bonneville.

Something different this year was a Women's Studio called Discover Today's Motorcycling.   This casual oasis in a sea of ever moving people was a place for women to relax and learn why more girls are riding Bikes these days.   They could enjoy moto makeovers, entry level Bikes, riding gear available for women and a traffic simulator / trainer.  They even had a lounge with free coffee.

The Future of motorcycling was covered by Gina Wood's XX Chromes-All Women Bike Build sponsored by Allstate Insurance.   A team of four women Bike builders spent the three days of the show wrenching and building a motorcycle called the "Moose Bike", that will go on a Raffle Tour across the country.   Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Mooseheart Child City & School.

I could go on and on about what you could have seen at the show this year but hey, you went didn't you?   If not check out some of the pictures and maybe you can make it next year.
