What a beautiful day! A little cool to start
but where's that global warming anyway?
Illinois ABATE Blackhawk Chapter did a superb job. About 100 riders
participated in this years
annual ride. The reason, was to ride, eat and support the
Rock Island County Sheriffs Department.
Admission was one 10-12 inch unadorned Teddy Bear.
The police escorted ride left the Rock Island County Court House and
ended at Empire Park in East
Moline, Illinois. The bears were collected at the park by the
Sheriffs Department who uses the little
guys to help calm children caught up in traumatic situations. Its a
good cause and one most folks
never consider. At the park, 'chef' Little Wayne and other
Blackhawk members also provided food,
drink and sold 50/50 tickets.
It was a good time! I want to again thank everyone who had a part
in this. You did good!
