Blackhawk A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois picked a beautiful day for their 2007 Bears for Buddies Ride!
I didn't count heads but there was a pretty good turnout for this very important cause.
As in past years the police led parade left the Rock Island County Court House and ended at
Illiniwek Park in Hampton, IL.  Where the admission price of one 8-12 inch Teddy Bear was
collected by the Rock Island County Sheriff's Department.  What do they do with the bears you ask?
The bears are given to children present in traumatic situations.
After the ride Blackhawk A.B.A.T.E. provided food, drinks and entertainment to the hot and hungry riders.
It was a great day for the ride and a worthy cause.  One of Wayne's hamburgers just made it that much more enjoyable.
Thanks Blackhawk and all who donated to make this work!
